First and foremost please know that if you love the outdoors, and being in the sun, and have lots of sun activities in your life, you can and MUST, keep your skin healthy. It’s not too late! Just because the damage has already been done, and you plan to continue to be active outdoors, doesn’t mean you won’t be able to improve your skin health and appearance

It’s not too late to start, even if you are in your 70’s or 80’s you can still realize improvement in skin health. It’s not a self-defeating effort even if you still plan to maintain activities in the sunlight.

Here is why. Damaged cells can be repaired. Your skin is designed to repair them with vitamins A, C and E. This excerpt from a white paper by Dr. Des Fernandez explains it a bit more.
“There are other photosensitive molecules in the skin, but vitamins A, C, and E primarily determine the development
or repair of actinic damage. Therefore, the treatment of photoaged skin has to include topical replenishment of these vitamins every day.
Because prevention is better than cure, we should start by wearing protective clothing and applying sun protection creams. Because we do not know the long-term effects of organic sunscreens, we should rather depend on safer inorganic reflecting molecules, such as titanium dioxide or zinc oxide. Since no sun protection cream is 100% effective, we should also enrich the skin with antioxidants, such as vitamins C and E and carotenoids, every day to minimize the free radical damage. We should use topical vitamin A and the associated antioxidants very soon after we are first exposed to sunlight, and do that for the rest of our lives. That means that the skin will never suffer from transient deficiencies of vitamins A and C, etc. As a result, the skin will become more resistant to the development of skin cancer. This could also apply to melanoma. In view of the near epidemic of skin cancer today, everyone who ventures into sunlight should use topical vitamin A and the antioxidants every day.”

It’s not just any formulations of vitamin A, C and E. Focus on forms that are easily penetrated, fatty esthers rather than retinol or acids. Medical-grade products that have the highest concentrations of these ingredients, formulated to penetrate the skin (not-over-the-counter formulated for mass merchandising) and require specific medical and esthetic training and licensing in order to sell and recommend them to the public, will change your skin with proper professional evaluation and monitoring. The goal is to build up and acclimate your skin to optimal nourishment for optimal cellular protection and repair.

Secondly, visible signs of sun damage will worsen without this kind of care and conversely will actually diminish (even if you do play outside) with proper protection, internally and externally.

The years of over production of melanocytes (that cause pigmentation) will not go away overnight, but methodically inhibiting the excess production while topically treating for protection and repair will transform your skin at the cellular level progressively. Laser treatment can eliminate the visible pigment, but if the melanocytes are still over producing pigment at the dermal layer the spots will start to resurface.

Adding supplementation to your regimen will also help your body fight the effects of UV damage. Ingredients like pygnogenol and polypodium are considers natural sunscreens when ingested on a daily basis. This siting from Intelligent Medicine, Dr. Hoffman discusses pygnogenol. “Pycnogenol: An extract of the bark of the French maritime pine grown in Southern France, a region of blistering sunlight, pycnogenol is rich in anti-oxidant proanthocyanidins. Topical application of pycnogenol after UV exposure significantly decreases the inflammatory response, resulting in less swelling and redness. An experiment by free radical pioneer Lester Packer, Ph.D. showed that when healthy volunteers were dosed with oral pycnogenol prior to sun exposure, it doubled their resistance to skin reddening. Pycnogenol has also has been documented to prevent collagen cross-linking, a hallmark of loss of skin elasticity and wrinkling. “. Personally I take two doses of this per day, along with several of the other supplements mentioned in this article to prevent sun damage, and I know that my skin looks better at 52 than when I lived up North at 32!

The skin care industry is flooded with products and people who sell products at all levels. It’s important to really know the credibility of your source, and their motivations. Do you think their skin looks healthy? Really? Don’t forget that that the skin also reflects internal health. Carefully pay attention to what you are buying and from whom, your skin is your largest organ. If you have cabinets full of products and you are still not happy with your skin, and just assume it’s the best it’s going to get, I️ can assure you there is hope. Trust a professional who physically touches, treats and works on skin daily, with continuous education in skin histology and ingredient formulation, with a goal and career to help people have healthier skin, to properly analyze and evaluate YOUR skin and create a customized program for YOU...and one who is willing to educate you. I have case studies and testimonials from clients who still get skin scans every 6 months, but have increased skin health, less lesions frozen and biopsies and look younger than years ago when we started working together.

Enjoy the sun and have healthier skin...you deserve it!

There have been a few times in my life when I have recognized a pivotal moment. Or even when I recognized a peak moment. But never have they happened so congruently and so frequently as in the last 8 months since I gave birth to my son. He was to be a game changer, astrologically speaking, according to my favorite astrologer. And he has proven her correct time and time again. We had no choice really, but to trust fall into life and into family. Into Southwest Florida, of all places. Funny enough when I list my top five places in the world to live, it does not make an appearance. Yet, here we are, in the midst of unbearably humid heat and the most amazing family anyone could hope to know. And they are mine. I have them by way of my husband and my son of course, but I will claim them till my dying day no matter what may come.

And now I am teaching Yoga to mothers to be and women and long time mothers and grandmothers even! It is maybe the most content I have ever been with a career path in my life! So one more time the creator says to me very clearly: Trust in me.....I know best. But this time I am listening. This time my son is watching and learning from my example. This time I have a huge family to keep me accountable and care if I show up or not.

This is a great time, really. Best time of my life to date. And NOTHING is what I had planned. NOTHING looks like I dreamed it would, and yet all my dreams are coming true. Are you seeing a trend here, dear reader?

I am. And I am happy to be here and be of service. It is truly my pleasure. So if you find yourself in need of support, call me. I will put you in touch with the trust fall hotline.

The concept is similar to when you do a workout for your body in that you put your skin through a series of treatments to help it change it's composition and structure, repairing cellular DNA through several skin cycles.   Each workout is customized specifically for the client. It is designed to change the things that bothers one most, whether it be pigment, fine lines and wrinkles or texture, and restore the skin to a healthier state.   After a complete health and wellness consultation to determine what underlying conditions and lifestyles may be leading to the current state of one's skin there is a skin evaluation followed by a program recommendation. The modalities can range from Microcurrent, Collagen Induction Therapy (Microneedling), LED, microdermabrasion, peels and more.   The treatments may be changed-up as the sessions progress and home care product use is critical to supporting clinical treatments and maintaining results.     There are results in the first treatment and the results build each time.   Here are some photos of some recent clients' results.

We know our diet can play an important role in the health of our skin.  The more clean we eat, the better our skin looks for a variety of reasons.  Decreasing sugar, increasing antioxidants, helping with inflammation, and less chemicals mean less chance of reactions in our body that present on our skin.  Newer research, however indicates that Omega 3 and also the balance between Omega 6 fatty acids are also very important, especially in the case of acne.   WebMD  lists Omega 3 fatty acids among the must-haves for your skin because of how it supports the health of the cell membrane, and also because the Omega 3 fatty acids help the body reduce production of inflammatory compounds.

I love sharing the reviews from our awesome clients! Those are the written and published ones. There are so many I hear on a daily basis speaking with my clients that you don't get to see. I took a few minutes today after I heard one of these to note the ones I hear often and some of my most special ones.

Thank you for helping my wife, that was skin cancer.

Yes, the dr felt it should come out, thank you for noticing it.

The surgery is tomorrow, so glad you told me to get it checked out.

My husband already noticed a difference.

I am already wearing less makeup.

The eczema cleared up already!

I felt you praying over me!

Your hands are magic

I see a difference already under my eyes

I can't live without it

I was so looking forward to my treatment.

They thought I was about 20 years younger (a 70+year old client) and I told them it was all you.

I thank God every day for the passion and purpose he gifted me with, and the special people he brings into my life while I pursue my purpose.
